1. Quick Level 3 question - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
Yeah. Use the drake, and fit it well. Should you hit a hard lvl3 as your first one, you'll NEED a t2/faction/best-named tank, and decent support skills, on a drake. Although, if you can afford to lose one or two, just taking the caracal into lvl3...

2. standings increase from storylines - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Edited by: Conrad Murphy on 16/11/2008 00:08:15 And, IMHO, "some people" are right. If you're trying to burn through missions quickly just to get standings(either corp or faction,) I believe it's better to stick with lvl3 missions. You can bur...

4. jump gates - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
They often tell you in the mission briefing, but, annoyingly enough, not always. (That's for mission gates...) For exploration gates, there's the trick of, when you're there to bookmark the gate, leaving your scanning ship and trying to activate ...

5. Permatank? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Talking about the benefits and drawbacks: A permatank is PREDICTABLE... No need to wait and see what will give first, the rats or your cap. In theory, with a good permatank and a damage source that retargets automatically (drones on aggressive or...

6. scan probes - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
For multispecs it's not a problem, though. After the first cycle, if you find nothing, there's nothing TO BE FOUND... There's no point in trying to use them again anyway. For other probes, get your scanning skills up! You'll be glad you did.

8. Any Hope for a Tackled Rokh? - in Warfare & Tactics [original thread]
The other drones that might have saved you were ECM drones. Put a couple of those on someone scrambling you, get in a jamming cycle, warp out. By no means a sure thing, but good insurance if you haven't got much else going for you.

10. Moving region and mission agents - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
You'll see in your list of standings you've also built standing to the Minmatar Republic itself. Should you go run missions for a new Minmatar corp, you can access missions based on either your standing with that corp (which is 0 if it isn't liste...

11. Raven - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
No, not really. Any race can train for any ship. A caldari might have had some of the support skills at character generation, but that won't be that much.

12. Feedback, thoughts, comments, critisism welcome - in Warfare & Tactics [original thread]

13. Question about intys. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
By all means bring some guns... Getting on killmails of stuff you're not tackling is reward enough, so is killing drones, so is scaring off other inties. But if you need the fitting room, saving on the guns first makes a LOT of sense...

17. How do jump freighters work? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Jumpfreighters are nice ships. Cargo capacity is lower than on a regular freighter, but MUCH bigger than practically anything else. They can be used both in highsec and lowsec/0.0, because they're the only ships that can BOTH jump and use gates. ...

19. Just a question or two from a newb. ^_~ - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
One thing: EVE is VERY much an MMO... The multiplayer part is more pronounced than in most others. You'll want to join a good corp as soon as you can. There's all sorts of corps, it's not just limited to the big corps in 0.0 alliances. I'd suggest...
